Keeping up with New Years Resolutions

I was inspired by Natikiru in reviewing over the new years resolutions to see how I'm doing. I think this is a smart idea to check up on oneself to make sure you're doing what you intended to.

  1. Drink a cup of green tea each day
Haven't done it each day but I have done it each week. I need to increase this!

  2. Eat at least one piece of fruit each day
Utter fail lol. But I have eaten one weekly, which is sadly more than before.

  3. Jog a mile each day and stretch
Nope. I've stretched each week though. I think a mile each day was too high of a goal for me. I'll down grade that to 1-2x a week instead

  4. Achieve doing the splits by the end of the year as the result of stretching each day
Definitely isn't the end of the year yet so I wouldn't know lol. But I haven't been stretching as much as I should. I'll stretch after this post xD

  5. Achieve tight abs by the end of the year as the result of exercise, crunches, etc
Just did leg lifts and bicycle crunches today. Hopefully I'll keep that up even if it's just 5 minutes a day

  6. Achieve straight A's for this last semester I'm here at University
So far an A on my first test, a 76 on my 2nd test, and 88 on my 3rd midterm. Hopefully I'll bring up those two. Luckily the 2nd test, my teacher halves the lowest grade and doubles the highest, so I've got a chance.

  7. Drink at least 3 water bottle's worth of water each day (in addition to that cup of green tea)
Haven't been keeping this up BUT I have been drinking MORE water than before, so at least some good came from this! :)

  8. Spend 1 hour each day to study instead of procrastinate
Failing in this department LOL but next week I am determined to actually do this. study mon-thurs 1 hr each day. Each day will be a different class. This way I'll keep up with it. Actually I've got a test on Thursday next week so I don't think I can start the 1 hr a day thing until the week after xD

  9. Finish reading Foundation by Isaac Asimov by the end of this semester
I did read some of it this semester so far. Hm, actually after i stretch after this post, I'll read the book. I've got extra time tonight

  10. Silly goal, but, as a League of Legends gamer, I'd like to take my low 46 normal game wins to 55 by the end of the semester
So far I've got 48 wins so I upped it by 2 games so far xD Not bad lol. I still got a long way until end of the semester so I think I can make this goal

  11. Yet another silly League of Legends goal: learn how to use one new champion very well and master it rather than always depending on Ashe xD
I've tried out new champions but I'm not so good with them. I guess it takes practice. But it's hard to use a non-ranged champion since I'm so used to it. I'm so bad with melee and tanks because you fight up in the enemy's face so I have a huge chance of getting hit. I think Caitlyn is my next best choice for a champion since she's got a longer range and is faster than Ashe. If somehow any guy is reading this post, any recs you can give me? xD

  12. Use a facial mask at least 3x a week
I've actually been rather consistent with this! Only the last week I haven't but for pretty much more than a month I've used a mask almost each day. So thats good!

  13. No more shopping until at least Spring Break xD!!!
=X.............................totally did not happen. I KNEW IT xD

  14. Learn how to thread my sewing machine and sew one piece of clothing by the end of this semester (and then as a result, this should allow me to make more clothes by the end of the year)
YES. I learned how to thread my sewing machine!! I've hemmed and resized some clothing so I've worked with it so far. I just haven't sewn an actual piece of clothing by myself yet. I'm excited to though!

  15. Paint my nails at 2x a month or so (I know this sounds dumb but I've been lazy painting my nails and each time I paint my nails, I feel good! So I want to continue this. Plus this would result in more blog posts =P)
So far yup, I've kept up with doing this

  16. Speaking of blog posts, a reasonable blogging amount to set as a goal, is blog once a week (if I can do more then great, but once is the minimum)
Yes, so far I've kept up with my blog rather well :)

  17. Clean up my entire apartment spotless by the end of this WEEK. This is THE biggest challenge of them all. Trust me. Any friend who has been inside my apartment knows I live like a guy X 120938102938102938 xD
    NOPE.

  18. Clean up my car by the end of the week and keep it clean consistently for the rest of the year
    NOPE.

  19. Find a REAL job after graduation by at least the end of the summer
Don't know yet =/ So much pressure to get a "real" job :(

  20. Dress up at least 1x a week. I know this sounds dumb, but I feel good when I dress up and lately I've been a slob with my shirt and jeans and hoodie. I need a day each week to feel good about myself and also utilize the clothes I have in my closet. Once a week will be the minimum
    So far yes :)

  21. Be more social. Go out once a week somewhere, even if it's by myself. Go out to the mall, with friends, somewhere public instead of cooped up in the apartment
So far I've done this so I'm doing pretty good :)

I'm rather proud of myself! haha. Didn't think I'd accomplish that much so far. I hope I continue to accomplish them and increase my water and tea intake as well as increase exercise.

How are yall doing so far in yall's new years resolutions? :)

Little Gray Dress (nope not black!)

I think every girl needs that one sexy dress they can depend on for a girl's night out or clubbing or something. In this case I went out with friends at Ra Sushi in City Centre in Houston, TX and my gal pal dressed up so she encouraged me to dress up too. This was a while back during winter break lol, but I'm finally getting around to posting it up xD

Some may see this dress as too tight and slutty. I don't really care, that's you're opinion. I however love that this makes me feel sexy. It isn't too short at all; it's just tight.

Updates

Hey yall

Tests are coming up next week and the following week so I may or may not post during this time. Please understand :( I definitely have kept up with my blog rather well this semester so far, which was part of my new years resolution and I definitely will keep that up. Once a week minimum was on the resolutions list so I'll TRY to make that for this upcoming two weeks, even if its a small post.

Good news for future blog post. MY GMARKET HAUL CAME IN WHOOOOOOOO FREAKIN HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

xDDD....I've been dying to get this package, frantically checking my mail box each day for the notification that I've received a package. This morning I went to retrieve my lovely giant box and tried on every piece I had right before going to school xD I was too excited to wait until I came home. So yes, I will definitely post up pictures of the stock photo and then the real photo. But I will warn you, I resized 2 items. A dress and a white sleeveless top that I will remention when the post comes up. I bought the white one a size too big because that was the only size left and I wanted it so bad xD as for the dress, they shipped me the WRONG size -_____-.....but luckily I figured out my sewing machine a few days ago so that knowledge came in handy for resizing these clothes. I'll go into review-detail later once the post comes.

How is everybody? :)

Product Review: Clean & Clear Persa Gel 10

Hey yall

Back with another review :)

Ingredients list yay. I like how there isn't a giant list of chemicals

Cream and white

My Thoughts:

Just as a disclaimer, I have combination-oily super acne prone skin and have been on every medication out there, and this product may or may not work for you, so pleaseee don't be mad at me if it doesnt work xD and if yall are sensitive to Benzoil Peroxide, stay away from this because that is the key active ingredient.

Basically I've had quite a number of outbreaks lately and this has been the one product that has taken my zit covered face down to the regular acne scars that I'll take care of later. It pretty much cleared some zits within a few days, and the stubborn ones took a week. Then after 2 weeks, half of my face is clear and I've got a lot of scars left and a few zits on my face left; maybe about 3-4 zits. Originally I literally had about 15+ on my face. Small ones and big ones. It was bad so I wore makeup to cover it sometimes, but for the most part this product worked.

If you put too much on your face, it will 1. leave a white cast and 2. dry out your skin too much; so be careful. I usually cover my whole face rather than spot treat so the bacteria doesn't travel elsewhere on my face. That probably helped in prevention. The general rule is about a pea-size for the whole face, but do it to customize for you. Some days I use less than that, some days a smidgen more. I usually don't as much to the areas that are clear, but I still do, again, to do prevention, and then I'll apply the product more on the affected area or big pimples.

This is about $4-7 depending where you get it. I got mine at my HEB Grocery store, but I'd recommend going to Walgreens to test it out because their return policy is amazing. I have returned stuff there with open packaging and they didn't even question why I was returning them. They just took it back and gave me my money back.

Overall Rating:4.5/5
Product: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5 (hygienic, easy to use, but boring and simple looking)
Cost: 2/5 (so affordable!)
Repurchase? YES
Where to Buy: Walgreens, Target, your local grocery store, Walmart, CVS, drugstore.com, etc

I hope this review was helpful and if yall have any questions, please ask in the comments below!

Periwinkle Nail Polish

Hey yall

I painted my nails last week in this periwinkle color. It's from Forever21's Love & Beauty brand. I can't find the name of the color though on the bottle. This was gifted to me from my best friend as part of a Christmas gift so maybe the name was on the price & barcode label that she took off. I'm sorry that I don't have the name, but I'm sure once you see the bottle, you'll know it's this color

I used:
  • Nail Life Gripper base coat
  • Forever21 Love & Beauty nail polish (periwinkle color)
  • Seche Vite top coat

Review on the acne cream will be coming up! I just gotta take pictures and such. And btw, just as a reminder for this acne cream, please remember that my skin is different than yours. My skin reacted favorably towards this and it may not for you, so please don't get your hopes up too much xD I'm just sharing with you what works for me. Thank you!

Product Review: Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel

Hey yall!

Told ya I'd be back with a review soon =P

I originally heard of this product from RAEview on youtube and since it worked for her boyfriend, I wanted to give it a try.

Just as a reminder and reference, I have combination oily and HEAVILY acne-prone skin that's easily irritated so this product MAY work for you if your skin condition isn't as nuts as mine. *EDIT* and just as a reminder for new readers/viewers, I am heavily allergic to Sulfur, Sulfate, Sulfite, etc, so all products I review will be sulfur-free

Lets get to the review!

My Thoughts:

The packaging is simple and pretty effective in terms of traveling. It isn't big and it won't spill around when you have the cap on. However when you press down on the nozzle to dispense the product, it isn't a smooth pump. Sometimes too much comes out. Usually it gives one full pump when perhaps one day you just need half pump. That part bothers me. Also it's a glass bottle so it may break, but I have dropped it on the floor before and it didn't crack on me.

This product overall was moderately effective. Some days it worked, some days not. The area that it helped was around my chin and jawline, but for some reason it didn't do much for my face :( I know in my last post my skin looks clear but I have foundation on to cover the acne and acne scars. ( I DO however have a product that DOES work that I will review later that made me get rid of majority of my acne in just 2 weeks! Drugstore item too so affordable. Look out for that review! :D ) Anyway, Sephora has a good return policy. I used this for two full months and half the bottle was gone, and they took it back.

Would I recommend yall to try it? Yes give it a shot, if not you can always return it if you have a Sephora nearby/its convenient for you. I, however, will not be repurchasing this item. It's expensive at like...$30-something bucks--I forgot, but it certainly was above $20 and that's expensive.

Rating:
Overall: 2/5
Price: 5/5 (expensive!)
Packaging: 2/5 (good bottle, bad pump)
Repurchase? No
