Outfit Of The Day (OOTD)

This post will showcase my new necklace and ring (ring you can barely see it) and new sweater.

It's a simple outfit but I think accessorizing it made it look a lot better imo.

And yes I am wearing a tiny silver necklace behind the statement necklace. No I did not do that for a fashion purpose. I just simply wear that necklace at all times since my bf gave it to me so I don't really feel like taking it off lol. So I just throw whatever on top of that necklace and hope it looks decent.

Not much going on. But I did get to a 2nd round of interviewing but I *think* I may reject this company in the end. They sell a certain cable/satellite brand of TV service at a booth in Best Buy or Walmart, and I personally cannot see myself selling TV service to people at those stores. That to me is a retail job. Not a real marketing job that I am aiming for. Plus the company seems sketchy. If the base pay is a lot without commission involved, I'll have to reconsider joining this company, but for the most part I feel like I shouldn't do this job because it's so sketchy and doesnt seem legitimate for reasons I won't mention other than that I feel its an elaborate Pyramid Scheme that is legal but in the format of a pyramid scheme.

I don't know. I'm getting desperate for work. I think I'll apply to more bank teller jobs =/

Most jobs I applied for didn't get back to me which is discouraging. But I hear that you apply to literally 100 jobs and only at best 10 will call you if that, and then at best 5 will give you an offer, but it's usually less than that. So I gotta keep applying!

Sigh the search continues...

What Should I Wear With my Polka Dot Shorts?

So if yall didn't watch my haul video from before, I bought a pair of polka dot shorts for $6 that looked super cute, BUT, I don't know what to pair it with that would make it look good!

Now I know I can put a chunky sweater over it for winter and wear it with some tights but I'm wondering what to wear with it alone since it's still more or less warm outside.

Any ideas?

Here's what the pair of shorts look like from my instagram. It's dark navy with white polka dots

 photo polkadotshorts_zpse1d888c5.jpg

They aren't high waisted. They sit low at my hips since they are a smidgen too loose

I've worn these with my sleeveless white button down with a gold metal trimmed collar, but the tie at the bottom of the button down made it look kind of bad so I don't think I'll pair it with that again.

So yea, suggestions are very much appreciated!

7 Ways I'd Wear my Gap Gingham Button Down Shirt

Here's me experimenting with what I'd pair up with my Gap gingham shirt that I just bought.

Some are good, some are mediocre. So bare with me. I'm no fashion expert. Just attempting to figure out fashion for myself and make use of what I have in my closet.

So here are the pictures:

 photo IMG_8503watermark_zps698de856.jpg
Look 1: Pairing with a black peplum skirt from Forever21 and Talbot peep toe pumps

I'd wear this to a one on one hangout with a girlfriend at a restaurant. The gingham shirt tones down the formalness of the peplum skirt, but the peplum skirt boosts the casualness of the gingham shirt. So I think it's a nice balance. I saw this black skirt and gingham shirt combination on where I got my inspiration

 photo IMG_8504watermark_zpsdbaba21d.jpg
Look 2: Pairing with black Old Navy shorts, H&M gold belt, and Nine West flats

I'd wear this running errands since it's a casual outfit but it's put together enough to look presentable if you somehow run into someone unexpectedly

 photo IMG_8505watermark_zps26d9305e.jpg
Look 3: Pairing with Abercrombie Kids white skirt with Forever21 ankle strap heels

I might wear this out on a casual dinner with the bf as long as the dinner place isn't fast food but more along the standards of Olive Garden and cheap sushi. It's a casual skirt so I feel I can't wear this to nicer restaurants but I feel like it looks too good to be able to wear it to fast food restaurants, especially with heels on. So some middle-level restaurant would be good. Or simply catching up with a girlfriend at a restaurant as well since it's common to see girls dress up when going out with one another to places

 photo IMG_8507watermark_zps3f594046.jpg

This is just the same look as before obviously but with the shirt untucked. I wasn't sure which version looks better. Which one do yall like better. Tucked, or untucked?

 photo IMG_8511watermark_zps6a4780d7.jpg
Look 4: Pairing with Zara high waisted denim shorts with Rainbow flip flops (THE BEST flip flops I have EVER had. Expensive at $40 but it has arch supports, is durable, and is well built)

This seems like something to wear to eat at a casual BBQ place since this look looks slightly country ish with the denim and gingham shirt combo sans cowboy boots lol. This could also be a stroll in the mall or running errands. Since this isn't a regular styled pair of shorts, I feel it boosts up the look a bit due to the high-waist.

 photo IMG_8514watermark_zps537b3e18.jpg
Look 5: Pairing with Old Navy The Rockstar Zipper Skinny Jeans in Wine and Franco Sarto oxford heels

This is what I call my borderline hipster look, if not actually hipster due to colored skinny jeans with a patterned top lol. But that's just my personal opinion. Some people pull off this look without looking hipster but I DO wear glasses for real when I'm not wearing my contacts and I have thick rimmed dark brown glasses that make me look hipster when paired with this outfit lol! This is something someone can wear to school, on vacation(but switch to flats so your feet don't hurt touring the city!), to the mall, running errands, just something on the casual side.

 photo IMG_8519watermark_zps9eb55f76.jpg
Look 6: Paired with Abercrombie & Fitch Jeggings in White and Nine West flats

This is a similar look to the previous Look 5 but with a different colored pair of pants. So this falls under the category of not looking hipster because they're not colored pants where you can wear this to school again, mall, vacation, etc

 photo IMG_8496watermark_zps5adf3080.jpg
Look 7: Pairing with Zara skort, H&M blazer, and Forever21 heels

Look familiar? It's from my previous/yesterday's post. But this is my favorite look of them all. It's a step above casual but less than dressy. I just think it looks well put together. But of course you can wear it without the blazer if it's hot outside. I'd wear this to dinner or the mall or getting nails done with my sister (though I'd have to switch to flip flops to not get pedicures ruined!), etc

Which look do you like the best? Which do you least like? Or do they all look pretty good to you? Or they all look bad to you? What would you fix in my pairings to make them better? (keep in mind I literally put whatever I could together to the best of my ability based upon what I have in my closet which may not contain something yall might suggest me wearing but I welcome suggestions for future purchases)

Hope yall enjoyed my post! I'll make another fashion blogpost soon!

Refilm Youtube Videos?

So I'm highly considering privatizing or deleting some of my old youtube videos and refilming them because when I was rewatching them, I realized how TERRIBLE and AWKWARD and camera shy I was.

Granted I'm still not good at filming, but I feel like I've definitely improved some at least.

My old videos were unprepared and BSed. I thought it up as I went rather than have notes and an organized video. I also was unenthusiastic and not smiling. I was just exuding negative all over the place. No wonder I got down votes and not many views!

I also noticed a trend though that is relatively unfair. Videos where I DISLIKED a product I got downvoted for even though I was honest as to why I disliked the product. And videos where I LIKED a product I got upvoted.

So people, according to that trend in my videos, don't like to see me disliking a product even if the product is actually bad and I wanted to share with people not to waste their money on it. People want to hear everything good.

I noticed that a lot of big time youtubers DON'T bash products. They ONLY talk about products they like, UNLESS it's a monthly favorites and dislikes video or "products I regret buying" video dedicated in the title of what they don't like. But if it's like me where I simply state "review", people just go in wanting to see something they want to hear as GOOD.

Pretty dumb huh? But for me, even if I continue getting downvotes, I still want to do the right thing and inform my viewers of what products aren't worth their time in my personal opinion so that it may help them. I hate going to the cosmetics section only to find products people say good things about and I'm trying to compare it with a product that no one mentioned, so thus I end up not knowing which to get because I am not informed enough about the other product that was not talked about.

One video in particular that I have to say I was properly downvoted for was my Naruko Total Defense Night Gelly review. Although I did state that it didn't do anything for me therefore I felt it didn't deserve the hype, I still did not state that I tried the whole line together, therefore based on that I'm able to make a better backed up statement as to why that product didn't work for me. So this is one of the videos that I feel I want to refilm first.

Any of yall youtubers out there experience the same thing as me or is it just me? Or am I simply imagining things?

Attempt at Fashion Again. Gap Gingham Shirt, Zara Skort, and HM Blazer with Forever21 Heels

So I was playing around with my clothes today and decided to use my new gingham shirt, my old H&M blazer, and my new Zara skort with my Forever21 heels.

Then I took a few selfie photos.

This is a very basic look that you probably can't go wrong with since there's a blazer involved. Blazers always makes an outfit look better lol. So do heels, EXCEPT when your outfit is too hoochie then heels might not be a good choice to balance things out lol xD

But anyway, here are the photos at my attempt at fashion again. I'll be doing more experimental posts. I think my next post will involve that gingham shirt again. Maybe I should just create a post dedicated to different ways to wear that gingham shirt.

My Fashion Sense Is Terrible

So I only recently realized how bad I am at coordinating outfits.

I buy pieces that look good by themselves, but don't look good when paired with other things.

It's only recently that I began buying clothes that go with one another because I had to think carefully what would I wear the item with in my closet. If I couldn't find anything to wear it with then I had to pass.

One thing I don't know how to pair up are my TopShop garter-and-stockings inspired tights. I wore it here on the blog once but I'd rather not redirect you to what it looked like because I am embarrassed about how terrible I coordinated the outfit.

I also realized that I don't really have a lot of blouses and tops that are appropriate. I mainly have tank tops and strapless tops etc and plain t-shirts, but nothing exciting. Again, it's only recent that I decided to put forth some effort to try to find blouses which is why I made my H&M and Gap purchases for my purple bow blouse(H&M) and gingham button down(Gap).

This is kind of why I don't blog about fashion much other than hauls because first and foremost, I don't have a professional camera to make my outfit look as good as the other fashion bloggers so my outfit ends up looking mediocre at best, and second, I know my outfits are nothing special so there's nothing to show, and third, I feel like my outfits aren't fashionably done well--bad coordination!

I've been looking at fashion blogs like more lately to try to get inspiration for outfits. I'm looking at as well, which is an Australian blogger.

Something I want to find more of, but seem to cannot, is more fitted blouses that aren't a bag shape. For some reason that loose bag shape is in right now or tight crop tops, and I need something that's form fitting, but not a crop top. Any ideas?

Not that I can buy anything right now anyway since I'm on a shopping ban :( But getting ideas is always good

Alright I shall see yall later~ Let me know if yall have this same dilemma or if yall are the fortunate ones with a far better fashion sense than me lol

American Apparel 30% OFF Promo Code October 2013

American Apparel:

I got this in my email so it MIGHT just be a one time use promo code, but I highly doubt it. I think this email was mass emailed to everyone with the same code so you should be able to use it.

You're welcome! Happy shopping! I know I won't be shopping since I'm on a ban.
