Diorskin Nude BB Cream Initial Thoughts

So I heard about the Diorskin Nude BB Cream from Musings from a Muse blog and I went into Sephora today to first return my Lancome Visionnaire and then try on the Diorskin Nude BB Cream.

I can't really do a full review on the product since I only tested it out on my face in store, but from what I gathered, this is what I thought:

  • It's lightweight
  • light coverage/will not cover imperfections or acne scarring
  • more than a tinted moisturizer but less coverage than a true Asian BB cream
  • comes in a 1oz tube
  • no sulfates
  • shade 002 will fit about an NC25
  • There are 4 shades to choose from
  • does NOT work well with dry flaky skin. It will accentuate flaky skin so make sure your skin is smooth
  • dries to a dry finish instead of a dewy finish that sits on top of the skin like most Asian BB creams do
That's about what I can recall from testing it out in store. Hopefully this initial review helps someone out there.

See yall later!

EDIT:

Rating: 3/5

I wouldn't purchase this product because it doesn't provide much coverage like a true Asian BB cream would. They slap on the name BB cream but this just ISN'T a BB Cream =/

For those who live in the US and are unaware of Asian BB Creams, please, look into them. They tend to offer good coverage like a foundation would. However I will warn you that the shades are limited to one or two shades and the shade range for those are NC/NW 15 to NC/NW 20, but there are BB creams out there that carry coverage for darker complexions up to NC 25-30. Missha BB Cream (in the maroon tube) has No.21 is the lightest, No.23 medium shade, and I forgot the darkest shade but there does exist one thats darker so this is a good starter BB cream from what I've heard, but it does have Sulfates in them.

Quick Strawberry Smoothie

I modified a smoothie recipe found on allrecipes.com

originally the recipe was:

* 8 strawberries, hulled
* 1/2 cup skim milk
* 1/2 cup plain yogurt
* 3 tablespoons white sugar
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 6 cubes ice, crushed

But instead I did:

  • 8 FROZEN strawberries (you can find frozen ones in the freezer aisle or freeze them yourself)
  • 1/2 cup any kind of milk but I used 1%
  • 1/3 cup strawberry yogurt
  • no ice
  • blend
It turned out to taste moreso like the yogurt but it's still tasty. You can use plain yogurt if you want to. I might do that next time actually after I use up all of my strawberry yogurt. If you like a LOT of flavor then the recipe I did will suffice. If you like a little bit less flavor then go for the plain yogurt.

I used to work for a smoothie shop so they used frozen fruits that serve as both the ice and the fruit, so that way you don't have to dilute your smoothie with ice.

I also put vanilla extract in my smoothie and it tasted funky (I put too much, but still). I think this recipe could do without the vanilla extract. The vanilla extract is suffocating x.x

Sorry for no pictures D:

Happy smoothie making guys!

See yall later

Camerawhoring

Decided to cam whore in my car before I back out of the driveway to go hang out with my friend

I of course rarely cam whore and post pictures of my face on my blog since I feel shy about camerawhoring so enjoy these once in a blue moon face shots of me xD I'll try to do them more often since what's a blog without the face of the blog owner?

This is what it looks like on the website

 photo 2_zps95dea58e.jpg
This is what it looks like in person. The color is much darker as you can tell.

 photo IMG_8236_zpsb02eb0d2.jpg

Not the best oufit I put together but I couldn't figure out what else to wear it with. I probably shouldn't have worn it with booties

Lets try another way to wear it instead xD black jeans:

 photo IMG_8242_zpscb404d3e.jpg

I think that looks much better xD simple black pants

What are some suggestions yall would recommend me to wear with this shirt? I'm really not the most fashionable person ever xD I try to be but the stuff I wear comes out weird, like that first outfit photo

Purchased Avalon Organics Serum and Moisturizing Cream

Hey yall!

I watched RhaeaEstelle on youtube and she has AMAZING perfect skin and she uses these products so I went ahead and bought them to see if they'll work for me. Hopefully they will. I'm not expecting a miracle product but I'm hoping on some improvements at least =/

Have yall tried Avalon Organics before? If so please tell me how you liked or didn't like them in the comments! I'd love to hear what yall have to say

Second Gmarket Haul

Hey yall!

This is my second Gmarket Haul that I got last year that I wanted to share with yall and review it.

Here it goes! :

My Body Stats for reference:

  • 32B
  • 108.5lbs
  • 5'1
  • 27 inch waist
  • 35 inch hips

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the black tube top)
  • VERY TIGHT
  • Only comes in one size
  • Put this in the washing machine and it shrunk. I can still fit it though. I'm not sure what to wear this with yet

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the black skirt)
  • Good quality
  • Sturdy fabric
  • Alittle bit short, but still wearable
  • Has a schoolgirl feel to it

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the black jeans)
  • Bought it in size 27 for my 27 inch waist. True to size
  • Fabric feels a little cheap and stiff
  • Fits very tight and slim on the legs. No loose fabric around the ankle area like other skinny jeans

Photobucket

  • True to picture
  • Basic sweater ribbed fabric
  • Hits mid-thigh length for me

Photobucket

  • True to photo (purchased it in black, not blue)
  • Basic ribbed sweater fabric
  • Thin, not thick, so don't expect this to keep you that warm

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the pink button down top)
  • A little sheer but can be worn with a nude bra just fine
  • If I bend over you will see my back/stomach so this is a short shirt, not long
  • One size I believe
  • Fits my body snugly

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the skirt)
  • A bit too tight on me. I need to lose weight and I'll be able to fit it better. I can still fit it now but my big hips make it a tight fit
  • hits a little bit above mid thigh
  • Purchased size medium/size 66

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased the dress)
  • Yall are probably familiar with this dress as it was used in my Graduation Photos post
  • Very good chiffon fabric--not flimsy like www.wholesale-dress.com's stuff
  • Has lining underneath

Photobucket

  • True to picture (purchased skirt)
  • This was an utter fail for me. I couldnt even put on the skirt because it was too tight. It was one size only I think
  • There is NO ZIPPER for you to put these on! You only use the buttons at the side
  • Super short up to your butt
  • Bad quality fabric that ripped when I tried putting it on
Hope this helps! Hope yall liked this post :) I noticed there were many views for my first Gmarket Haul so I thought to do a second one soon.

See yall later!

CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara Review

If yall don't want to watch my video, here are my thoughts in a nutshell:

  • Smells like chemicals
  • Has sulfates which I'm allergic to
  • Volumizes and lengthens on a scale 1-10, it'd be a 7 imo
  • Does what it claims
  • I have the waterproof version
  • Holds a curl decently but not perfectly

And here are some pictures:

First Gmarket Haul

So last year I made a Gmarket haul and never posted about it until now lol. I will review it along with posting pictures. I dont have the links to the items anymore so I'm sorry. I don't remember the prices either.

The sizes on Gmarket tend to run rather small so it's best to get a size up, if you're from the US. These clothes were made for traditional Asian/Korean women overseas who are much more petite than the already petite Asians here in the US, just a warning.

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as the picture (purchased the blazer)
  • Purchased size medium for my 27 inch waist
  • Very good quality

Photobucket

  • Product came out to be the same as picture
  • The diameter/circumference of the opening is small so it will fit slender legs, not thicker calves. If y'all have trouble finding fitted boots, try measuring your calves in centimeters and compare it to the measurements they provide
  • Fake leather
  • Good quality
  • A bit uncomfortable to walk in if you walk in it for more than an hour
  • Purchased size 240 for my 9.5 inch long feet

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as picture
  • Isn't warm as it looks. So don't expect to wear this out in extreme cold weather. I could only wear it out in 50 degree weather at the coldest, and that's with wearing a sweater and layering underneath
  • Very cute. Got lots of compliments on it

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as picture
  • Purchased size Medium
  • Very pretty in real life and made of good thick fabric, not flimsy

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as photo (purchased the shirt)
  • Purchased size Small or size 55, cant remember which
  • Fabric is slightly sheer but you can still wear it if you wear a nude bra
  • Bow is removable and attaches through holes so it might fall off in the wash
  • Good quality

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as photo (purchased the top)
  • Purchased size 55 (should have purchased size 66 because this is tight on me)
  • Has boob padding that is very hard and not soft. Personally I'd cut it out of the shirt if I could
  • Good quality
  • Lace is great and body part is made out of cotton

Photobucket

  • Product came out relatively the same as photo, but not exact
  • Purchased size 55 but they sent a size 66
  • Boobs area is WAY too big for me. They came with boob padding and I had to cut them out of the dress
  • The top portion is too "long" for my body so I had to sew it up to make it shorter
  • Fits my waist well so I'm glad they sent a size 66
  • The color of the fabric is actually a bit darker than in photo
  • Fabric is sturdy and has lining inside

Photobucket

  • Product came out same as photo (purchased the shirt)
  • I don't know why I bought this .__.
  • Feels cheap
  • Fabric is hard cotton
  • Cute but seems only wearable to the beach

Photobucket

  • Product came out true to the photo (purchased skirt)
  • Skirt is SHORTTTTTTT. Comes up just under my butt. You have to wear shorts under or leggings/tights
  • Very poofy like in the picture
  • Good fabric
  • Fits well
  • Came in one size

Photobucket

  • Product came out the same as the photo (purchased the shirt)
  • Purchased size 66
  • Has boob padding that I removed
  • Fits around my boobs well. Big D boobs won't fit this unless you're a 32D maybe it'll be snug. 34D won't fit this
  • Feels slightly cheap. Cotton is a bit stiff, but still good quality
  • Looks a bit in appropriate in real life. I seem to cannot wear this outside. My bf and best friend think it's too scandalous for the public. What do yall think?

Photobucket

  • Product came out same as the photo
  • Purchased sized B
  • Haven't worn this so I don't know how good it is

Hope this helps someone out there! See yall later!

Michael Kors Heels Returned

So I bought these Michael Kors heels from Ross on sale for $55.99 instead of paying the already discounted price of $80, but these were too uncomfortable to wear once I tried them on at home so I had to return them. Plus I wouldn't know where to wear these since I don't go out much. But I took pictures and thought to share with y'all them.

Photobucket

Photobucket

What a shame right? They were pretty nice looking. It's okay though. I have way too many shoes that I don't even use. One pair of boots I have I haven't even used yet because when I bought it online, it looked nice, but once I got it in person it looked kinda much and gaudy. Maybe its just me. Maybe it actually does look good. Who knows. It's a Liz Lisa pair of thigh high boots. I'll post it sometime later

Anyway, I'll see yall later

New Years Resolution Simplified

I figured that having too many new years resolutions will set me up for failure. So I think I'll stick to a few.

  1. Get a job
  2. Move out into an apartment
  3. Exercise nearly every day (and in turn lose the 9lbs that I gained)
  4. Drink at least two bottles of water each day
  5. Control my anger. Step away for 20 minutes to cool off
Yup, that'll do my list for this year. So far I am so close to getting #1 done. I mean, I already have a "job" but its a side job rather than a 20hr or 40hr job that I would need.

And I just started exercising today. Boy did it make me light headed. I'm so weak right now it's ridiculous. But hopefully with an almost everyday routine at the gym, I'll get into better shape and health. It was crazy hard this morning to get out of bed and to the gym. I kept lying in bed delaying until my mom finally told me to go to the gym. This laziness has got to stop.

I don't know if I can achieve #2 this year though. It's a long stretch to be making that a goal but I might be able to do it. Getting an apartment is something I really need to do. I need to get out of this house and be independent. Trust me, it isn't one of those teenager phases of needing to get out of the house. I think if you're Asian, saying that alone can probably make one understand why I need to get out of the house. I know where I want to move, but I don't know how I'm gonna do it. And then probably a year and a half from now I'll be moving to another state to be with my bf. That's the plan anyway at least.

What are yall's new years resolutions?
