I'm about to go to my Psych Dr appt and then go to a Laser hair removal session for my upper lip and legs.

So I decided to put on some makeup for fun and what not and take some pictures while I'm at it. So thus, another camera whoring session. yay! always fun.














I'm thinking about updating my facebook profile picture and using one of these pictures but I really like my current profile picture since it's probably the most flattering picture of me so far xD Dunno if these pictures are as good. I was thinking of the first picture in this batch of pictures to use.

Cozy Sweater Days

So I have a picture I posted on Instagram from Tuesday of me wearing a sweater jacket and some leggings and my new ankle boots and then I have an old picture from about a month ago when I went shopping and I was in Zara and took a picture of my outfit.

Avalon Organics Partial Review

So all I'm going to do is describe to you how the product is, not whether it works or not because I ended up breaking out with these two products:

• Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cream
• Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Vitality Facial Serum

I first saw this on RhaeaEstelle's youtube channel and her skin is flawless. Basically the kind of skin that you dream of having. So after seeing that she uses this, I immediately ran to my Walmart to get it, but alas, it made me break out, and I'm not sure why. It doesn't contain any sulfates/sulfur in the ingredients, which I'm allergic to, so I'm not sure why I broke out. But I did. I'm pretty sad because I was really hoping for it to make my skin as beautiful as RhaeaEstelle's. 

Anyway here are my very short thoughts on it:

Vitamin C Renewal Cream

• Very very thick, similar to Vanicream but creamier
• Smells like oranges but not "fresh"
• Spreads easily over the face
• Does not make you appear greasy despite how thick it is
• Comes in a pot, so it isn't the most hygienic

Vitamin C Renewal Vitality Facial Serum

• Runny in consistency
• Smells like oranges but not "fresh"
• Spreads easily over the face
• Does not make you appear greasy
• Comes in a pump bottle
• Comes in a glass bottle

Sorry if this doesn't help anybody but I thought to write about it anyway in case anybody was wondering how the consistency of the product is.

I kind of think the reason why these products didn't work for me was because for one the cream was too thick for my skin and my skin couldn't breathe. And I think applying the serum under the thick cream made my skin breathe even less. But this is all hypothetical and for all I know I may be allergic to something else in it that I'm unaware of.

If anybody forgot what these products look like, here it is:

This will be the last time yall see me write about Avalon Organics since I won't be purchasing anymore from them. And I have no clue what to do with these products left :( It'd be a waste to throw them into the trash seeing as I purchased them both for a total of $30 something bucks. I guess I'll just use the thick cream to moisturize my body lol I don't know.

Striped Crop Top

I posted this on my instagram already, but will update my non-instagramers here :)

I was running some errands a few days ago and wore this outfit to do it. And yes, although it's February, it's still relatively hot in Houston, TX. Usually its a cool 70-75 degrees around right now so that's why I can get away with this outfit outside xD I swear I'm not going outside in freezing temperatures in this kind of clothing lol



You can see my acne scars in this picture :( I'm battling with perpetual acne. Luckily I go into the Doctor's office tomorrow and can ask what else to do about my acne

REVIEW: Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam

I'd appreciate it if yall watched the video, but if yall don't want to, here is the summary:

• brightens temporarily/immediately, but NOT permanently
• does NOT brighten acne scars/dark spots/hyperpigmentation
• doesn't claim to control acne, BUT my acne that I had on my face wouldn't go away with this product 
• foams up very nicely
• costs about $35
• I'd rate this about 3/5 stars

High Slit Maxi Skirt

Remember that order I made with my Recent Purchases post where I ordered a black high slit maxi skirt in the same style as Dawn from Monoxious.com? If not click Recent Purchases and take a look at that post and you'll know what I mean, though I will repost the look here.

So this is what I bought:

I purchased a size US 6. For reference my waist size is 27 inches and my hips are 35 inches



The petite sized skirt is only 1 inch shorter than the original--I personally don't think that qualifies as petite; it should be shorter, but oh well, it fits me enough if I pull the skirt up to a high-waist look.

And this is what inspired me to buy this skirt:




And this is my version of it. Not as polished and beautiful as Dawn's of course but I tried to make it as darn close as I could:




Overall I'm satisfied with the quality and the time it took for the skirt to arrive, which was about one week from the UK, AND it's FREE shipping to you and free shipping for returns. I give Asos.com a rating 5/5. You can find good deals on there and have it shipped to you in a week. I like! But there are expensive stuff there so beware. I usually go into the sales section.

H&M Purchases and My Instagram

I only have 47 pictures on there and do boring picture updates but I thought I'd share my instagram anyway lol. I was hesitant for a while to share my Instagram because it's my name on there for one and second it's my personal life as well. I won't post too personal of pictures though. And I wish I could post more pictures of my face but I hardly ever put on makeup to make things exciting .__. Oh well. If you follow me I hope my pictures are interesting enough for you xD

Next topic is my H&M purchases. I just went to Atlanta to visit my bf (yes I'm in a long distance relationship and yes it DOES WORK lol) and I went to Atlantic Station in downtown Atlanta to go shopping at H&M and bought 3 things.

First up is a partial-leather dress. The black part of course is the faux leather and then you have the white fabric. I think it looks pretty darn cool. It was $50 though. Ouch to my wallet but I had to have it.

And the picture below. I bought the shirt for $7.xx and the skirt for $5.xx . Pretty good deal :) Simple outfit really




Btw I'm not wearing any makeup which is why you can probably see the zit dot on my chin and some acne scars. I'm trying to not wear makeup as often so my skin can heal.

I'm trying out Mario Badescu Whitening mask to lighten my scars. So far I can't tell too much of a difference. However I do see a subtle difference so maybe it's working? Who knows. But I will continue using it to see if it works. My mom threw away the receipt so I cannot return it if it doesn't work. I appreciate my mom cleaning part of my room but it's also frustrating because she tends to throw away important things without consulting me first whether it's throw-away-able. Oh well I can't reverse it now since it's already gone and overwith.

Black and White

Played with my clothes because I was bored and came up with this outfit using my new shoes and new shorts. It's a rather simple outfit but the tights are meant to make it a little bit more special. Last time I used these tights in another post it looked utter fail so hopefully this time I used them better and more correctly xD

I wish I had someone with a really awesome professional camera to take pictures for me. I always see on fashion blogs really amazing pictures and mine always turn out sub-par making my outfit look worse than it really does in real life. I need to be brave and take my tripod out to some park outside to take pictures but I don't have a remote so I'd have to do a 10-second timer and rush to make some pose. O well

Bought Oxfords/Brogues-esque Shoes and Zara Shorts

As the title says, and in my last post, I bought shoes that are kind of oxford/brogue-esque along with some black side-lace up Zara shorts.

The shoes are buttery soft since they're real leather. Bought them on sale for $75 when they were originally $130. Pretty good deal even though they are still expensive. But I foresee myself using them to death so I think the price is worth it. I remember buying Sperry's long time ago worrying whether I'd wear them or not to get my money's worth since they were $70 but I've worn them too many times I've really gotten my money's worth lol. So same will go for these shoes.

Recent Purchases

So I've been shopping around lately on Asos.com and Yesstyle.com. Let me share with yall what I bought!

From Yesstyle, a basic striped dress. I hope this turns out looking alright. I took a chance on this since I've been searching for a striped navy and cream dress. Costed me $26.xx with shipping. Shipping was $10! Ridiculous. AND they take 2 weeks to PROCESS the order, not even ship it out yet. Why must they take so long with orders? It's ridiculous



Next is Asos:

I thought this one shouldered dress looked elegant and it was on sale for $33.33 no shipping cost. I was inspired by Raeview on youtube when she wore her one shouldered top in a video of hers so I wanted something similar so badly.



I saw very good reviews of this Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation on makeupalley.com so I thought to try it out since $20 isn't so bad for foundation. I just hope I bought the right shade!


High slit maxi skirt


I was mainly inspired by Dawn from Monoxious.com. Her instagram is below, and I'm trying to copy that outfit of hers. As you can see in my last post I bought a white top that's similar to hers specifically to wear it with this maxi skirt. I MIGHT return the skirt if it doesn't look good on me since asos.com has such good return policy. I can't see myself wearing this in front of my parents and I'm living at home so I'm not sure where I would wear this to be honest.



These all should come within 1-2 weeks. I hope they all turn out to be what they claim to be. Otherwise I'm returning, though Yesstyle doesn't have a good return policy. You have to ship it yourself and then get only store credit instead of your money back, which is stupid. I want to buy more from Yesstyle but their policy is so ridiculous that I don't know if I will or not. We'll see.

Peplum

Went and bought that white top with the gold detailing at the collar along with the peplum black skirt. Thought it looked nice. I was looking for something a little form fitting for the skirt so this was great with the addition of the peplum top portion. And I just love the gold edge detailing on the collar. Adds a nice touch to a basic top.

Reminiscing

Hey yall

Third post for today lol

Found an old picture from when I was in my apartment and wanted to post it. My apartment had good lighting so it made picture taking easy.





This was when I was trying to read Foundation by Isaac Asimov at Flora & Muse cafe in City Centre in Memorial area of Houston. I had a cup of mocha which was really tasty. I miss those days :(

Dollywink Eyeliner New Packaging

So I was taken by surprise by the new packaging that Dollywink has done to their eyeliner. Instead of polka dots it is now little flowers running across the pen. At first I thought it was fake until I went on Amazon to verify that it is indeed just new packaging. So I ordered mine off of Ebay and it arrived pretty quickly and on time.

Something I noticed was that the formula is longer lasting. I tried to take it off using my DHC Oil Cleanser but it barely budged. I had to use my nails to scrape it off--yikes! I like long lasting eyeliners but I think this might be too much. We'll see. Hopefully my trusty Neutrogena-dupe Oil Eye Makeup Remover will do the trick, otherwise I'll be stuck with eyeliner forever lol. And I don't want to scrub my eyes to get it off otherwise I'll lose eyelashes and create premature wrinkles.

Monoxious.com Inspired Outfit

Soooo I absolutely LOVE monoxious.com. Those two girls really know how to make a black and white outfit work. It's amazing.

So I saw an old post from a while back of Dawn's outfit from their blog and recreated it to look identical as much as possible, but of course I don't have her shoes nor socks so I did what I could.
